Rankd (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a free daily ranking game available at rankdgames.org. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

What we collect

Game data. When you play Rankd, your score and streak are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to us.

Analytics data. We use Google Analytics to understand how many people are playing Rankd, where they are located, and which puzzles are popular. Google Analytics may collect your IP address, device type, browser, operating system, and pages visited. This data is aggregated and anonymised.

Advertising data. We use Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. This is how personalised advertising works.

Cookies and consent

Rankd uses cookies and similar technologies for two purposes: analytics (understanding how the game is used) and advertising (funding the game).

If you are in the UK, EEA, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can accept or reject this at any time using the consent banner or the cookie settings link in the footer.

If you reject personalised advertising, you will still see ads — they just won't be tailored to you.

Because Rankd does not use accounts, we do not store any personal information about you directly. All analytics and advertising data is processed by Google, who you can contact directly at their privacy centre.

Children

Rankd is suitable for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
